NEWS RELEASE: August 8th is the Last Day to Request an Absentee Ballot Be Mailed for the Primary Election

Naples, FL –Wednesday, August 8th is the last day to request an absentee ballot for the Primary Election be sent through the mail. It is important to note that absentee ballots are NOT forwarded and will be delivered to the address provided to the Supervisor of Elections Office. After 5:00 p.m. on August 8th, voters requesting an absentee ballot will be required to pick up their ballot at the Supervisor of Elections Office. Any registered voter is permitted to request and vote an absentee ballot.

Once an absentee ballot is completed, the ballot must be placed in the official ballot envelope provided and the voter MUST sign the envelope where indicated. Completed absentee ballots must be returned to the Supervisor of Elections Office by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day – August 14th.

If a voter receives an absentee ballot and decides to vote during Early Voting or on Election Day, the voter should bring the marked or unmarked ballot along to the polling site so it may be cancelled.

Don’t delay, make your absentee ballot request today and enjoy the convenience of voting by mail! Requests may be made by calling the Supervisor of Elections Office at (239) 252-8450.
