Florida voter registration books for the 2012 General Election close in one week
Collier County, FL—October 2, 2012: In one week, voter registration books will close for the November 6th General Election. New voters must be registered by the October 9th deadline in order to vote in this election. Once the registration books close, new voter registration applications are accepted for subsequent elections only.
To date, the Elections office has added more than 5,500 new voter registrations since the books closed for the August 14th Primary Election.
To register, eligible citizens must complete a voter registration application form. Application forms must be printed, signed and returned to the Supervisor of Elections office. The main office in the Collier Government Complex, 3295 Tamiami Trail will extend its hours to 8:00 p.m. on October 9th to accommodate additional new registrants.
To verify voter registration status, registered voters may go online to the CollierVotes.com “Am I Registered” web page. For more information on Collier County Elections, visit www.CollierVotes.com or contact the Supervisor of Elections office at (239) 252-8450.
