Tallahassee, Fla. - August 21, 2015: The Florida State Association of Supervisors of Elections (FSASE), announced recognition of the 2015 Professional Practice Award from The Election Center for its Florida Certified Elections Professional (FCEP) program.

The FCEP program offers continuing education and certification programs for elections’ officials with topics including voter registration, media relations, and managing election workers. In recognition of the award, the FSASE will do a presentation at the Election Center Annual National Conference in August in Houston Texas.

“The FCEP program was developed by the FSASE back in 2007 and has steadily grown each year by providing professional training to Florida’s election administrators,” said Brian Corley, President of the FSASE. “This recognition is affirmation of the hard work and dedication of Florida’s Supervisors and their staffs.”

The FCEP program is affiliated with the Florida Institute of Government. Through continuing education the program encourages the highest level of professionalism for elections’ officials.

The Election Center is a national, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting, preserving, and improving democracy and is comprised of government employees whose profession is to serve in voter registration and elections’ administration.
