NEWS RELEASE: Collier County Election Results Officially Certified

Collier County, Fla.— September 6, 2016: The Collier County Canvassing Board met today and certified the official results of the 2016 Primary Election. The results include ballots cast provisionally, by mail, and in person during Early Voting and on Election Day.

Of the 191,353 eligible voters in Collier County, 32 percent cast a ballot:

  • 34,798 ballots cast by Mail
  • 11,163 ballots cast by Early Voting
  • 15,970 ballots cast on Election Day
  • 21 ballots cast Provisionally

TOTAL: 61,952 ballots cast.

In compliance with Florida law, the Collier County Canvassing Board will conduct a manual audit of the election at the Supervisor of Elections office on Tuesday, September 13 at 10:00 a.m. The manual audit is open to both the public and media for observation.

The audit requires that the Canvassing Board randomly select a race and precinct to be manually audited. At today\'s meeting, the Canvassing Board randomly selected the County Commission District 3 race at Precinct 324.
