PUBLIC LEGAL NOTICE

 

SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS OFFICE ANNOUNCEMENT OF LOGIC AND ACCURACY TESTING OF VOTE TABULATION EQUIPMENT AND CANVASSING BOARD MEETINGS FOR THE NOVEMBER 23, 2021 CITY OF EVERGLADES CITY GENERAL ELECTION.


PURSUANT TO FLORIDA STATUTES 102.141(2), YOU ARE HEREBY ADVISED THAT THE OFFICIAL CANVASSING BOARD CALENDAR FOR THE TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 23, 2021 CITY OF EVERGLADES CITY GENERAL ELECTION IS AS FOLLOWS:

NOVEMBER 16, 2021 AT 10:00 A.M. – LOGIC AND ACCURACY TEST AND ELECTION AUTHORIZATIONS. THIS MEETING WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS OFFICE LOCATED AT 3750 ENTERPRISE AVE, NAPLES, FLORIDA 34104.

NOVEMBER 23, 2021 AT 7:00 P.M. – REVIEW OF VOTE-BY-MAIL BALLOTS, PRELIMINARY RETURNS, PROVISIONAL BALLOTS, OFFICIAL RESULTS, OFFICIAL CERTIFICATION, CONDUCT OF ELECTION REPORT AND THE MANUAL AUDIT OF THE ELECTION. THIS MEETING WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE CITY OF EVERGLADES CITY HALL LOCATED AT 102 COPELAND AVE N, EVERGLADES CITY, FLORIDA 34139.

IF ANY ELECTOR OR CANDIDATE PRESENT AT THE CANVASS OF THE VOTE-BY-MAIL BALLOTS BELIEVES ANY BALLOT IS ILLEGAL DUE TO ANY DEFECT APPARENT ON THE VOTER’S CERTIFICATE, HE/SHE MAY FILE A PROTEST AGAINST THE CANVASS OF SUCH VOTE-BY-MAIL BALLOT ANY TIME BEFORE THE BALLOT IS REMOVED FROM THE OUTER RETURN ENVELOPE. 

ANY PERSON WHO DECIDES TO APPEAL A DECISION OF THIS BOARD WILL NEED A RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS PERTAINING THERETO, AND THEREFORE MAY NEED TO ENSURE THAT A VERBATIM RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS IS MADE, WHICH RECORD INCLUDES THE TESTIMONY AND EVIDENCE UPON WHICH THE APPEAL IS TO BE BASED.
