Collier County, Fla.— November 15, 2018: The Collier County Canvassing Board will hold its next meeting at 9:00 a.m. Friday, November 16, 2018 to canvass ballots identified during the manual recount in the County Judge, Group 2 race.

Per Florida law, during the manual recount, counting teams appointed by the Supervisor of Elections office manually reviewed all ballots designated as "under" or "over" voted. Ballots were separated into two categories: "under," meaning ballots with no visible marks in the County Judge, Group 2 race, and all other ballots designated for canvass by the Canvassing Board.

Per Florida law, the Canvassing Board ordered a manual recount in this local election because there was a difference of less than one quarter of one percent of votes cast between candidates.

The public and media are invited to attend the Canvassing Board meeting, which will take place at the Supervisor of Elections office located at 3750 Enterprise Ave., Naples, FL 34104.
