NEWS RELEASE: Collier County Election Results Officially Certified

Collier County, Fla.—September 4, 2018: The Collier County Canvassing Board met today and certified the official results of the 2018 Primary Election. The results include ballots cast provisionally, by mail, and in person during Early Voting and on Election Day.

Of the 208,948 eligible voters in Collier County, 33.61 percent cast a ballot:

  • 37,223 ballots cast by Mail

  • 12,199 ballots cast by Early Voting

  • 20,781 ballots cast on Election Day

  • 21 ballots cast Provisionally

 TOTAL: 70,224 ballots cast

In compliance with Florida law, the Collier County Canvassing Board will conduct a manual audit of the election at the Supervisor of Elections office on Monday, September 10 at 10 a.m. The manual audit is open to both the public and media for observation.

The audit requires that the Canvassing Board randomly select a race and precinct to be manually audited. At today’s meeting, the Canvassing Board randomly selected the Republican Governor race at Precinct 315.
