The Florida State Association of Supervisors of Elections (FSASE) will award three $1,200 scholarships to Florida students in 2011. Full-time students majoring in Political Science, Public Administration, Business Administration, Journalism or Mass Communications who are entering their junior or senior year are encouraged to apply.

Eligible students must be United States citizens, have been a bonafide resident of Florida for two years preceding the academic year for which the application is made and be registered Florida voters.

To qualify, applicants must have finished at least two years of junior college or undergraduate work and have enough credits for enrollment as a junior. Applicants must be enrolled or have been accepted as a full-time student in a Florida senior college or university accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Postgraduate or second-degree students are not eligible. Additional requirements are included on the page titled "Guidelines for the Florida State Association of Supervisors of Elections Scholarship Student Eligibility."

To be considered, applications and all required documentation MUST be received by the Collier County Supervisor of Elections Office by 5:00 PM on Friday, March 18, 2011. Once received, applications and information will be reviewed and those meeting the requirements will be contacted for a personal interview by the Supervisor of Elections.

The Deadline for submission is 5:00 p.m., Friday, March 18, 2011
