NEWS RELEASE: Collier County Election Results Officially Certified

Collier County, Fla.— November 18, 2016: The Collier County Canvassing Board met today and certified the official results of the 2016 General Election. The results include ballots cast provisionally, by mail, and in person during Early Voting and on Election Day.

Of the 200,707 eligible voters in Collier County, 86.9 percent cast a ballot:

  • 56,686 ballots cast by Mail
  • 74,932 ballots cast by Early Voting
  • 42,680 ballots cast on Election Day
  • 201 ballots cast Provisionally

TOTAL: 174,500 ballots cast

In compliance with Florida law, the Collier County Canvassing Board will conduct a manual audit of the election at the Supervisor of Elections office on Wednesday, November 23 at 9:00 a.m. The manual audit is open to both the public and media for observation.

The audit requires that the Canvassing Board randomly select a race and precinct to be manually audited. At today\'s meeting, the Canvassing Board randomly selected the Fiddlers Creek CDD Seat 5 race at Precinct 159.
