PUBLIC NOTICE: 2019 City of Naples Special Election

 

PUBLIC NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION

CITY OF NAPLES, FLORIDA

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Naples will have a special election on April 2, 2019 to elect a Naples City Council Member for the reminder of a term ending on February 1, 2022.

Candidates must be qualified electors and residents of the City of Naples for at least six (6) months prior to the first day of qualifying.  Candidates are elected at large, by the highest number of votes.

The qualifying period shall commence at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, January 28, 2019, and shall close at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 8, 2019.  All candidates shall qualify with the City of Naples City Clerk’s Office located at Naples City Hall, 735 8th Street South, Naples, FL 34102.

Qualifying papers are now available in the City of Naples City Clerk’s Office.  In accordance with F.S. 99.061 (8), the City Clerk’s Office may accept and hold qualifying papers submitted not earlier than 14 days prior to the beginning of the qualifying period, to be processed and filed during the qualifying period. 

To qualify, a candidate must pay the required qualifying fee and one percent (1%) Florida Election Assessment fee required by F.S. 99.093 for the office he/she seeks.  A candidate must also file the required documents outlined by the City Clerk, together with a filing fee of $25.

AVISO PUBLICO PARA LA ELECCION ESPECIAL

CIUDAD DE NAPLES, FLORIDA

 

POR LA PRESENTE SE NOTIFICA que la Ciudad de Naples, Florida efectuará una elección especial el 2 de abril de 2019 para elegir a un miembro del Concejo Municipal por el resto del término que finalizará el 1 de febrero de 2022.

Los candidatos deben ser electores cualificados y residentes de la Ciudad de Naples durante al menos seis (6) meses antes del primer día de cualificación. Los candidatos son elegidos en general, por el mayor número de votos.

El período de calificación comenzará a las 8:00 a.m. del lunes 28 de enero de 2019 y cerrará a las 5:00 p.m. el viernes 8 de febrero de 2019. Todos los candidatos deberán calificarse con la Secretaria Municipal cuya oficina está ubicada en el Ayuntamiento de la Ciudad de Naples, 735 8th Street South, Naples, FL 34102.

Los documentos para calificar están ahora disponible en la oficina de la Secretaria de la Ciudad de Naples.
