Collier County, Fla.—October 1, 2021: The Collier County Supervisor of Elections office will partner, once again, with the Collier County Public School system to present an art contest encouraging students of all ages to express the spirit of democracy through art.
A $500 scholarship will be awarded to one winning entry submitted by a high school student and a $500 donation will be awarded to the art program at the school with the “Best of Show” entry. Ten additional runner-up entries will be featured in election materials distributed by the elections office including the 2022 “I Voted” sticker. The $500 awards are provided by Champions For Learning through the Chuck Mohlke Endowment Fund of the Community Foundation of Collier County. Mr. Mohlke left a legacy of respect, charity, kindness, and a commitment to civic engagement and a passion for learning.
“We are pleased to continue our partnership with Collier County’s schools and Champions For Learning who help us keep Chuck Mohlke’s legacy for civic engagement going strong!” – Jennifer J. Edwards, Supervisor of Elections.
A call for entries will take place between October 1 and November 12. Winning entries will be announced on December 7. For further information, please visit the Collier County Supervisor of Elections website at www.CollierVotes.gov or call (239) 252-VOTE (8683).
