NEWS RELEASE: Canvassing Board Declares Recount in County Judge, Group 2 Race

Collier County, Fla.— November 9, 2018: Notice is hereby given that the Collier County Canvassing Board has ordered a machine recount in the County Judge, Group 2 race.

Per Florida law, the Canvassing Board will order a machine recount if a difference of less than one half of one percent of votes cast for an office exists between candidates.

The Canvassing Board will conduct a Logic and Accuracy Test of the vote tabulation equipment to be used in the machine recount at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, November 12. The recount will begin immediately after.

The recount will occur at the Supervisor of Elections office, 3750 Enterprise Ave., Naples, FL 34104.

Any federal, statewide and multi-county recounts, if applicable, will be announced after the Florida Division of Elections receives first unofficial results from all counties. The deadline for counties to submit these results is by noon on Saturday, November 10.

The public and media are invited to attend all Canvassing Board meetings and to observe the Logic and Accuracy Test and recount.
