Collier County Clerk of Courts and Comptroller will be up for Election in 2018
Collier County, Fla.—6/13/2018: Due to the recent passing of Collier County Clerk of Courts and Comptroller Dwight Brock, the position of Collier County Clerk of Courts and Comptroller will be up for election in 2018.
In accordance with Florida Statutes 114, the Governor shall issue an executive order declaring the vacancy and will appoint an officer to serve for the interim term which will expire the first Tuesday after the November General Election, or November 13, 2018. Prior to the Governor’s appointment, pursuant to Florida Statute 28.09, the Chief Judge shall appoint a clerk ad interim.
Pursuant to Florida Statute 100.111(1)(b), qualifying for the Clerk of Courts and Comptroller seat will take place between noon on June 18 and noon on June 22 to fill the remainder of the two-year term.
