Florida is a Closed Primary State. This means that only voters who are registered members of a political party may vote for their respective party’s candidate in a Primary Election. Voters without party affiliation (NPA) or those registered with a minor political party are not eligible to vote in partisan contests.

Mail date for ballots sent to overseas and military voters: February 1, 2020
Beginning mail date for domestic voters: February 6, 2020
Deadline to request a Vote-by-Mail ballot: March 7, 2020

Vote-by-Mail ballots must be returned to the Supervisor of Elections office at 3750 Enterprise Avenue, Naples FL 34104 by 7 p.m. on Election Day, March 17; or by 6 p.m. at the satellite office located at the North Collier Government Service Center: 2335 Orange Blossom Drive, Naples FL 34109.
Voted ballots can also be dropped off at any early voting site during the early voting period.

On the Ballot
Some party candidates for president have reportedly suspended or ended their presidential campaigns.
If a candidate does not submit a formal withdrawal by December 9, 2019 in accordance with section 103.101(3), Fla. Stat., the candidate’s name must remain on the Presidential Preference Primary (PPP) ballot for his or her respective party. A vote cast for any candidate appearing on the ballot will count as a vote for that candidate.
